About Us

About TUMCo

Tumaini Mbeya College (TUMCo) is a private institution owned by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania (ELCT), operating under the academic affiliation of the University of Iringa (UoI). Its main campus is located in the Iringa Region and both academic and administrative functions are conducted in accordance with the standards and guidelines prescribed by UoI.

TUMCo offers a range of academic programmes at the Certificate and Diploma levels, including programmes such as Business Administration, Law, Human Resource Management, Accounting and Finance, Procurement and Materials Management, Leisure and Tourism Studies, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Community Development, Counselling Psychology, Journalism and Special Certificate in Theology. Intakes are conducted twice annually, in March and September. At the postgraduate level, the institution provides a study venue for Master’s programmes as coordinated by UoI. Furthermore, the College is in the process of launching undergraduate degree programmes, aimed at expanding its academic portfolio and enhancing access to higher education opportunities within the region.
